My First Dog Park!

Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh!!!!! I’m so excited that mom finally is letting me share about the things I do out here too! I miss some of my friends that live in the Midwest like Riley and Sparty and Milou. I get so happy to see them!!! But I wish I had more friends out here too.

Here I am with Riley. Miss playing tug of war with her so much!IMG_8503

So mom and I went to one of the dog parks here! I was a little skeptical at first… I’ve heard big dogs sometimes pick on the smaller dogs. Not that *I’m* a small dog, I just don’t want to run with those kind of dogs, you know? So I stayed near mom at first.

It was soooooo much fun! I got to meet some new dogs and almost all of them were very very friendly. At least they were friendly to me.

I explored a little before officially joining up with some of the groups. And hanging out one on one with some of the other pups.

I even met some humans that I liked! The humans tend to hang out on the sidelines so it is super easy to come up to them to say hi and ask for some petting.

Mom says that she has a friend with a dog and they go to this dog park a lot. So we’re going to try to go together sometime. It’s going to be a ball!

New Type of Posts

So I’ve realized that I have been leaving out the perspective of one very important individual this whole time… Wickett! So starting next week and continuing every other week there will be a post from the four-legged love of my life. Let’s just call it Wickett Wednesdays. This way he can share about his adventures or mishaps just as easily as I can. So expect some new types of posts coming up from the goober who know how to get down!

Big Hart Brewery

My family has a lake house up in Michigan. After the last wedding my man friend and I decided to head up there for a bit after the third wedding of the summer. We would be able to relax for a bit.

There was a new brewery that opened up in one of the towns nearby and we checked it out for dinner. One of the best things about Michigan is that everything is so much cheaper there than DC. It makes me yearn for the Midwest.

The beers were so delicious. Everyone liked the glasses that we ordered.

After a few brews at the bar, our table was ready and we got to get some nom.

The food was delicious. We had whitefish, a black and bleu burger, and a reuben. They are listed from top to bottom there. I could’ve used a little more whitefish but hey, it was cooked perfectly. It’s definitely going to be a new local favorite for sure!

Wedding Fever 2016

I know that being in my mid 20s means that I will have lots of friends and potential family members getting married. I’ve slowly started going to more and more weddings and this year I went to 3. 2 of them I was the main invitee and 1 of them I was the plus 1. It was a blast this year and I can’t wait for the few I already know about next year!

First up was one of my old roommate’s wedding. In college there were 3 of us girls living together and 1 of us was already married. So now there are 2 married roomies… and me. Don’t worry, no ring on this finger. Just a bottle of wine in my hand!

ANYWAYS… Here are some of the pictures of us from that night! Roomie love galore!

There were some delicious cupcakes. And cute little customized napkins for them. And then we also found that our old college bar was being used at the photo booth to hold props and what not!

Wedding numero dos I was a plus one. It was the wedding of my man friend’s friend. It was a small wedding but it was still a fun one! Unfortunately, there were less pictures taken at this one so I don’t really have a lot to share.

There was a joke that when I got cold and borrowed his jacket that I looked like some sort of manager. So a picture was taken.

The last wedding was the largest and I knew both the groom and bride pretty well. The bride briefly lived with me for a summer and before she the groom hung out with me before and after the summer. We had a great summer trivia team also. So I was thrilled to see them at their joyous wedding.

I even caught the bouquet despite my attempts to never catch one. Dang it she basically threw it straight to me! And I got a great picture with the bride and groom too. I love and miss them terribly.

The rest of the night was filled with dancing and singing and drinking. It was such a blast!
